How do you get the best result from your design?
Use the cleanest version of your logo you have, ideally a PNG with a transparent background. A logo on a white box will show its white edges against kraft board, so a transparent file looks far more like the finished print.
Do not worry about getting the position perfect. The picture shows us what you have in mind, and the proof we send back is set up properly for the real packaging shape. For more advice on layouts, read our guide to designing printed food packaging that prints well.
- Leave space around the logo so it does not crowd the folds
- Keep small text away from edges and glued flaps
- Pick one strong colour for wraps and liners
- Mention any extra text, such as a menu line or social handle
Design Your Packaging: questions
Still unsure? Call +44 7578 382054, ask us on WhatsApp or write to info@thefoodpackaging.co.uk.
Does the picture show exactly how the print will look?
It is a close guide, not the final print. Your free proof shows the artwork on the real packaging layout before anything is made.
What logo files can I upload here?
PNG, JPG, SVG and WebP images work. A PNG with a transparent background gives the most realistic preview.
Can I design more than one product?
Yes. Send one design, then choose another photo and send again. We combine them into one quote.
Can I add text as well as a logo?
Add any text you want in the notes box, such as a strapline or a web address, and our designers place it on the proof.
Why does my logo look darker on kraft packaging?
The preview blends your logo with the board colour, the same way ink sits on brown kraft. White board gives brighter colours.
Is sending a design the same as placing an order?
No. It is a request for a price and a free proof. Nothing is made until you approve the proof.
Can I move the logo on a phone?
Yes. Drag it with your finger and use the size slider. On a keyboard, the arrow keys move it too.
What if my product is not shown in the photos?
Pick the closest photo and describe the real item in the notes. We quote and proof the packaging you actually need.
Do you keep the logo I upload?
We use it only to prepare your quote and proof, as explained in our privacy policy.
How soon will I see a proof after sending my design?
Usually within one business day, sent by email along with your written price.
No question matches that search.
